The All African Leather Fair 2024, to be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from November 15–17, 2024, is a premier event that aims to showcase the dynamic leather industry in Ethiopia and across the African continent.
This three-day fair will bring together a diverse array of stakeholders, including Ethiopian tanneries, leather manufacturers, international buyers, trade houses, international brokers, chemical suppliers, accessory suppliers, tannery machinery suppliers, leather garment machinery suppliers, industry advocates, scholars, policymakers, and government officials.
The fair will provide a platform for SMEs to exhibit their innovative products and services, while also featuring a captivating leather fashion show that will highlight the creativity and craftsmanship of the industry. Importantly, the event will also include reflections and insights from pastoralists, who are the crucial sources of the livestock, as well as animal welfare representatives, emphasizing the importance of sustainable and ethical practices throughout the supply chain.
The overarching goal of the All African Leather Fair 2024 is to stimulate the weakening leather industry in Ethiopia and across the continent, by fostering collaboration, showcasing best practices, and exploring new market opportunities. The fair will also highlight the industry’s potential to create more jobs and drive sustainable economic development in the Ethiopian context.
